Five Crowns Score Sheet Printable | Free PDF

Five Crowns Score Sheet Printable | Free PDF – A Five Crowns score sheet printable is the easiest way to keep an 11-round game organized. The official game from PlayMonster is a five-suit rummy-style card game for 1 to 7 players, ages 8 and up. Each hand adds one more card, the wild rank changes every round, and leftover cards count against you. Without a printed scorecard, it is easy to lose track of who is winning.

This page explains how Five Crowns scoring works, what a good score sheet includes, and where U.S. players can get a legitimate free printable. You will also find the official rules and a low-cost official scorepad option if you play often.

What Five Crowns Is?

Five Crowns was created by Set Enterprises and is now published by PlayMonster. The box uses two 58-card decks (116 cards total). Each deck has five suits—stars, hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds—plus Jokers.

You play 11 hands:

  • Hand 1: 3 cards dealt, 3s are wild
  • Hand 2: 4 cards dealt, 4s are wild
  • Hand 3: 5 cards dealt, 5s are wild
  • …and so on, until
  • Hand 11: 13 cards dealt, Kings are wild

Jokers are always wild. The goal is to arrange your whole hand into books (three or more cards of the same rank) and/or runs (three or more cards in sequence in the same suit), then go out. After someone goes out, everyone else gets one last turn. Only unused cards are scored. The lowest total after all 11 hands wins.

Why You Need a Printable Score Sheet?

A typical game lasts long enough that scrap paper gets messy. A dedicated Five Crowns score sheet printable solves that by listing every hand in order, showing which rank is wild, and leaving columns for each player.

A printed sheet helps you:

  • Record points after every hand
  • Keep a running total
  • Avoid mixing up Jacks, Queens, Kings, wilds, and Jokers
  • Play with 2 to 7 people without rewriting names each round
  • Pass the dealer and start the next hand quickly

The official box does not always include extra refill pages. That is why families search for a free Five Crowns score card they can print on standard U.S. Letter paper (8.5″ x 11″).

Official Five Crowns Scoring Chart

Write only the cards that are not part of a book or run. Cards that were legally melded score zero.

Card Points if left in hand
3 through 10 Face value
Jack 11
Queen 12
King 13
Current rotating wild 20
Joker 50

Going out scores 0 for that hand. After the Kings-wild hand, add every player’s 11 scores. Lowest total wins. If two or more players tie, official rules allow a 6-card tie-break hand for the tied players only.

A good printable score sheet should make those 11 rows obvious so nobody forgets that 3s, 4s, Jacks, Queens, or Kings were wild.

What a Good Five Crowns Score Sheet Includes?

Look for these fields before you print:

  • Player name columns for at least 4 players, and a second page for 5–7
  • One row for each hand: 3s through Kings
  • A “wild” label next to each hand
  • Space for that hand’s points and a running total
  • A final total line
  • Optional dealer checkbox or notes line

US Letter size is best for home printers. If you laminate one copy, you can reuse it with a dry-erase marker.

Free Five Crowns Score Sheet Printable

PlayMonster sells replacement scorepads. It does not currently offer an official free downloadable scoresheet on its product pages. These two resources are useful, current, and clearly labeled.

1. Free printable PDF (2–7 players)
Huddle Around Games publishes a free Five Crowns score sheet you can print without an account. One page covers 2–4 players. A second layout covers 5–7 players. Download it here:

Print the page that matches your group size. Use regular 8.5″ x 11″ printer paper.

2. Free digital scorecard if you do not want to print
If phones are allowed at the table, ScorecardGO has a free online Five Crowns scorekeeper for 2–7 players. It follows the 11-hand structure and keeps a running total. It is not a paper printable, but it is a legitimate no-cost option:

Official Scorepad If You Play Every Week

If your family plays Five Crowns often, the publisher sells a dedicated refill pad. PlayMonster’s Five Crowns Scorepad includes 75 two-sided sheets with English, Spanish, and French wording. It is a paid product, not a free download:

How to Print and Use the Sheet?

  1. Open the free PDF on a computer or phone.
  2. Set your printer to Letter (8.5″ x 11″), portrait, actual size (100%). Do not “fit to page” if the grid looks cramped.
  3. Print one copy for 2–4 players, or both pages for 5–7.
  4. Write first names across the top.
  5. After each hand, score only unmatched cards using the chart above.
  6. Add that number to the running total before the next deal.
  7. After Kings go wild, circle the lowest grand total.

Keep a spare copy in the game box. If children are learning the game, write the wild rank on each row before you deal.

Quick Scoring Example

Suppose 7s are wild. A player goes out. You still have a 5, a King, a 7, and a Joker that you could not meld.

  • 5 = 5
  • King = 13
  • 7 (current wild) = 20
  • Joker = 50
  • Hand total = 88

Write 88 in that player’s “7s / 7 cards” row. Do not score cards that were already in a book or run.

Tips for Cleaner Game-Night Scoring

  • Appoint one scorekeeper for the whole game.
  • Call out wilds before the deal: “Nines are wild.”
  • Double-check Jokers. At 50 points each, they swing a game.
  • If you play two tables at a holiday party, print two sheets and label them Table A and Table B.
  • For travel, print a half-page version or take a photo of a blank sheet and mark it in a notes app.

FAQ

Is there an official free Five Crowns score sheet from PlayMonster?
Not as a standalone free PDF on the current product pages. PlayMonster publishes the official rules and sells a scorepad. Use a free fan-made printable or a digital scorecard for no-cost scoring.

How many rounds should the printable include?
Eleven rows: 3 cards through 13 cards. If a sheet only goes to 10 hands, it is incomplete.

Can I use notebook paper instead?
Yes. List hands 3 through King down the left side and player names across the top. A printed Five Crowns score sheet is simply faster and harder to misread.

Does Five Crowns Junior use the same score sheet?
No. Five Crowns Junior is a shorter kids’ version that uses treasure chips, not the 11-hand point total. Use the standard printable only for the original game.

What paper size should U.S. players use?
U.S. Letter, 8.5″ x 11″. That matches most home printers and the official scorepad size.

Bottom Line

A Five Crowns score sheet printable keeps the rotating wilds and 11 running totals in one place. Start with the free download linked above, keep the official rules nearby, and add an official PlayMonster scorepad later if the game becomes a regular family favorite. Print a sheet, deal three cards, and play until the Kings go wild.
