Free Printable Pumpkin Writing Templates – Looking for a free printable pumpkin writing template? These seasonal pages turn ordinary handwriting and creative writing practice into something fun for fall, Halloween, or Thanksgiving. Perfect for teachers, homeschool parents, and kids in the USA, a pumpkin-shaped or pumpkin-themed writing page gives young writers lines (or open space) inside a festive outline they can color and display.
A good free printable pumpkin writing template usually includes lined versions for different skill levels—primary handwriting lines for beginners, wide- or college-ruled for older students—plus blank options for drawings or free writing. Most are designed for standard US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 inches) so they print easily at home or school.
Why Use a Pumpkin Writing Template?
Pumpkin writing paper helps kids stay engaged during autumn literacy centers, morning work, or at-home practice. The shape encourages creative storytelling, poems, journals, or “how-to” pieces about carving a pumpkin or visiting a pumpkin patch. Teachers often use them for bulletin boards, class books, or differentiated writing stations because the visual theme motivates reluctant writers without requiring extra prep.

How to Use Your Free Printable Pumpkin Writing Template?
Print on regular or orange paper. Younger children can practice names, sight words, or short sentences on primary lines. Older students can write descriptive paragraphs, poems, or journal entries about fall activities. Add a prompt such as “My Trip to the Pumpkin Patch,” “If I Had a Giant Pumpkin,” or “How to Carve a Jack-o’-Lantern.” After writing, kids color the pumpkin and display the pages for a cheerful classroom or fridge gallery.
These templates pair easily with pumpkin life-cycle lessons, harvest books, or Halloween stories. Laminate a few for reusable dry-erase practice if desired.
