Free Printable Shout Out Cards for Classrooms – Free printable shout out cards are simple, ready-to-use recognition tools that help teachers, staff, and students celebrate positive behavior, effort, kindness, and achievements. In U.S. classrooms, these cards support PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), social-emotional learning, and strong classroom community. They require almost no prep: print, cut, and hand out or display.
Shout out cards work well for daily recognition, Friday celebrations, peer compliments, morning meetings, or take-home notes. Many teachers keep a stack near a bulletin board or in a “compliment corner” so students can write notes for one another.

Practical Tips for Using and Printing
Print on standard U.S. letter paper or cardstock. Many templates fit four cards per page. Use “fit to page” or borderless settings if your printer allows. Laminate a few for reusable classroom sets, or print fresh ones weekly. Encourage students to write specific reasons (“helped a friend with math” rather than just “good job”) to make the praise more meaningful.
Display completed cards on a shout-out wall or bulletin board so the whole class can see the positivity. Send selected cards home so families share in the recognition.
