What Is Snowman Soup?
Snowman soup is a playful name for a ready-to-make hot chocolate gift. Typical contents include:
- One packet of instant hot chocolate mix
- Mini marshmallows (the “snowballs”)
- Hershey’s Kisses or similar chocolates (often called the “eyes” or “buttons”)
- A mini candy cane or peppermint stick for stirring
Everything goes into a clear cellophane bag, zip-top bag, or paper cup. A free printable snowman soup tag or bag topper finishes the look with a cheerful poem and simple directions. Recipients just add hot water or milk, stir, and enjoy.
The idea is popular for school parties, Secret Santa, and holiday neighbor gifts because it is inexpensive, quick to assemble in bulk, and feels personal without requiring baking skills.
